Configure Codex Run Actions for Expo
Set up project-local scripts and Codex Run buttons in an Expo repository.
Skills
Move repeatable start or build commands into reviewable repository scripts, then declare project actions in `.codex/environments/environment.toml`. Check arguments and working directories, and keep secrets out of scripts. The user can invoke the action from Codex Run and verify the resulting process. This links a local project to commands; it does not automatically publish an app.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- A local Expo project open in Codex, working package scripts, and write access to the `.codex/` directory.
Permissions
- Writes project scripts or `.codex/environments/environment.toml` and may launch a local development/build process. Do not put secrets in version control.
Limitations
The Run button executes commands configured by the repository, so inspect scripts, arguments, directories, and side effects first. Unsupported Codex surfaces will not show these actions.
