Gemini CLI TUI tester: verify terminal interaction step by step
Test real Gemini CLI TUI behavior with isolated settings and screenshot evidence.
Skills
Confirm that the local Gemini CLI build is ready, activate the agent-tui tooling, and isolate `GEMINI_CLI_HOME` so personal settings do not affect the test. Inspect daemon and live-preview state, then start `agent-tui run` as documented and keep its returned `session_id`. Use one atomic loop at a time: send one command, wait for the expected text, capture a screenshot, and verify the resulting state. The workflow creates or kills tmux sessions, starts or stops a daemon, and may delete `/tmp/agent-tui*`; inspect affected sessions and temporary files before cleanup and do not remove them without authorization. This skill tests Gemini CLI TUI behavior and visual regressions only.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- For Gemini CLI terminal UI behavior and rendering tests; requires a built checkout and agent-tui tooling.
- Load agent-tui guidance first, isolate `GEMINI_CLI_HOME`, and inspect session state.
Permissions
- Runs commands, creates tmux sessions, starts/stops the agent-tui daemon, and controls the terminal.
- The source workflow also removes `/tmp/agent-tui*`, deleting matching temporary files.
Limitations
Follow command→wait→screenshot→verify one command at a time; restarting a daemon may affect other test sessions.
