Azure messaging diagnostics: combine health, consumer config, and logs
Identify service/SDK, then correlate namespace health, queue config, and KQL diagnostics.
Skills
Identify Event Hubs or Service Bus and the SDK version. Use MCP to list namespaces/hubs/consumer groups or queues/topics/subscriptions, then check Resource Health. Retrieve docs for the symptom and query Monitor logs with KQL for dead letters, throttling, connection errors, or lag. Report evidence and next steps without overstating cause. Test sends, lock/retry changes, message deletion, or scaling write resources and require explicit approval for the named queue/environment.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Diagnose messaging flows, health, and consumer lag across Service Bus, Event Hubs, or Event Grid.
Permissions
- May list namespaces, queues/topics, consumer groups, and diagnostic logs.
Limitations
Prefer read-only diagnosis; sending/deleting/reconfiguring/scaling resources needs authorization.
