Entra Agent ID: review identity scope before granting access
Inspect tenant, principal, and grants, then configure an agent identity only after approval.
Skills
Confirm the Microsoft Entra tenant, subscription, signed-in principal, and target agent/resource. Read the identity model and prerequisites referenced by the skill. Inspect existing agent identities, service principals, roles, and credential configuration; distinguish missing access from duplicate grants. Propose least-privilege access with each resource scope stated. Create/link an identity or change authorization only after the user confirms the principal, role, scope, and credential method. Protect secrets in secure configuration, never source or logs. Report changes and rollback steps, then verify the resulting scope.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- For configuring or troubleshooting Microsoft Entra Agent ID so agents can be discovered, governed, and access resources securely.
- Requires the correct tenant/subscription and an appropriate admin role; inspect identity and existing policies first.
Permissions
- May create/link agent identities, configure permissions/credentials, and change tenant governance.
- Identity and authorization changes alter security boundaries; require user-defined scope and approval for each write action.
Limitations
Avoid broad identity permissions. Verify tenant, principal, and target; use least privilege and report every grant.
