OKX Market Data: public and read-only
Use the OKX CLI for prices, order books, candles, funding, open interest, instruments, and indicators.
Skills
This skill uses the official OKX CLI to read public market data: individual or bulk tickers, order books, spot and derivatives candles, index and mark prices, funding rates, public trades, open interest, and instrument listings. It also offers screeners, open-interest change scans, and more than 70 technical indicators. First distinguish a market-data question from a request about balances, positions, or trades; event-contract trading is outside this skill too. The install command changes the local global Node package set, so check the package name and installation scope first. Public market endpoints need no API key and commands are read-only. If a historical query is estimated above 500 candles, explain the count and ask before fetching. Results are objective values; interpretation and trading decisions remain with the user.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Install the OKX CLI; public market commands need no API credentials.
Permissions
- Runs the local okx CLI installed with npm and reads public market endpoints over the network. The skill does not read accounts or place orders and needs no credentials. Review the package source before installation.
Limitations
Outputs raw market data and indicator values, not trading advice. Account, order, and event-contract requests belong to separate skills; estimate large historical result counts first.
