Verification before completion: run checks before reporting
Define and run the complete check that supports any claim that work is fixed or done.
Skills
Before claiming tests pass, a bug is fixed, or work is complete, identify the full command that proves the claim. Run it on the current changes, read the complete output and exit code, and verify failure counts and target behavior. Old logs, agent reports, source inspection, or partial checks do not establish current status. If evidence does not support the claim, report the actual state and what remains unverified. For regressions, rerun the original failing case; for multi-part requirements, check each one rather than treating a green test suite as proof that every requirement is met.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Before reporting a pass, fix, completion, PR, or commit.
Permissions
- Requires running verification commands and reading results; may also inspect diffs and requirements.
Limitations
The skill sets a strict evidence gate, while project checks and task requirements determine the appropriate scope.
