Zoom Meeting SDK: web
Embed Zoom meetings on web with its platform SDK, auth, and join/leave lifecycle.
Skills
Use only for actual Zoom Meetings, not custom video sessions. Read the platform start guide, lifecycle workflow, join pattern, and reference map, then implement SDK initialization, signature/auth, join, and cleanup. On web, distinguish full-page Client View from embedded Component View and generate signatures on a backend; on Android/iOS, validate permissions, native builds, and device lifecycle. Never embed SDK secrets or auto-join production meetings. On Web, choose Client View (full-page Zoom UI) or Component View (embeddable custom UI) first; Component View uses a Promise-based API. Install `@zoom/meetingsdk`, generate signatures on a backend, configure required browser headers/capabilities, and use the selected view’s own events and join parameters.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- A configured Zoom Meeting SDK app for web; use a backend for signatures on web.
Permissions
- Can build a client that joins live meetings; the app is responsible for participant consent and recording/privacy settings. Do not create or join production meetings without approval.
Limitations
Covers only the web client; verify SDK release and account entitlements separately.
