Zoom OAuth Authorization and Tokens
Design authorization, refresh, and error handling around app type, resource owner, and API scopes.
Skills
Identify user-level OAuth, account-level OAuth, officially supported server-to-server OAuth, or SDK credentials, then match the target API/SDK to its resource owner. Configure redirect and token refresh with least-privilege scopes; store client secrets and refresh tokens securely. Separate 401, missing-scope, and expiry cases, and never interchange SDK JWTs with OAuth/API credentials or expose them in frontend code.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- A specific Zoom Developer app and server-side secret/token storage; know the target API and resource owner.
Permissions
- Handles account credentials and scopes granting user/account access; do not log secrets or request excess scopes.
Limitations
OAuth app types and API scope requirements differ; verify against current Zoom API docs.
