Turn a CSV into a chart-backed analysis report
Upload a sales CSV and produce a single HTML report with interactive charts and numeric evidence.
Goal
Goal: Upload a sales CSV and produce a single HTML report with interactive charts and numeric evidence.
Steps
- Create an environment with
pandasandplotly; upload the CSV with the Files API and mount it as a session resource. [data] - Require the report to lead with an actionable finding and support each claim with source numbers; label chart axes and units. [data]
- Find
report.htmlwithclient.beta.files.list(scope_id=session.id), download it, and verify data coverage, charts, and narrative. [data] - Independently recompute totals; if the environment loads Plotly from a CDN, use pinned assets or an allowlist in production. [data]
How to verify
The report exists, charts render, and every number can be recomputed from the CSV.
Troubleshooting
If `report.html` is absent, inspect tool errors and output paths in the event stream; do not mistake the input CSV for the report.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Python 3.11+, Anthropic API key, Managed Agents SDK, and a de-identified CSV.
Permissions
- Upload approved fields only; use a network allowlist and keep sensitive rows out of the report.
Limitations
Review statistics and charts manually; the demo allows CDN egress and should not be copied unchanged.
