Fill a local registration form with computer use
Use a temporary Daytona desktop sandbox to fill a local HTML registration form, then inspect the recording and saved form state.
Goal
Use a temporary Daytona desktop sandbox to fill a local HTML registration form, then inspect the recording and saved form state.
Steps
- Serve local
form.htmlin the sandbox, createComputerTool, and start recording. [src-openai-complete-local-registration-form-with-computer-use] - Fill text, date, radio, and bounded multi-select fields through visual actions. [src-openai-complete-local-registration-form-with-computer-use]
- Inspect the recording and fixture state, then explicitly delete the sandbox. [src-openai-complete-local-registration-form-with-computer-use]
How to verify
Check the recording and persisted form values, especially date, dropdown choices, and the checkbox limit.
Troubleshooting
If a field is missed, inspect screenshot coordinates and waits; clear and retry explicit choices if the checkbox limit is exceeded.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+, Daytona and OpenAI API keys, Agents SDK, and the cookbook’s local form.
Permissions
- Creates a billable remote sandbox and uploads/serves a local form; keys remain on the host. Do not point the example at real registration/payment sites.
Limitations
Review each field during UI automation. Handle CAPTCHAs and site-specific steps manually when they arise.
