Join parallel specialist branches before producing a final answer
Wait for all parallel branches, collect outputs by branch name, and pass them to a single synthesis node.
Goal
Have independent agents analyze the same input in parallel and deliver a stable structure to synthesis.
Steps
- List independent analysis angles and a named output for each branch. [join]
- Join branches with
Workflow(edges=[(START, (research_a, research_b), JoinNode(), synthesize)]). [join] - Design the post-join input structure so it reads results by branch name and compares agreements and differences. [join]
- Handle branch failures or missing outputs; never present an incomplete set as unanimous agreement. [join]
How to verify
The join starts only after expected branches finish, and the aggregate preserves branch identity and missing-result markers.
Troubleshooting
If the workflow does not finish, connect every branch to the join; if results overwrite each other, aggregate by branch name.

Prerequisites
- Python 3.11+, google-adk compatible with the pinned revision, and an isolated test environment
- Configured model-provider credentials for live inference; never place them in code or logs
