Orchestrate a multi-step agent task as a sequential workflow

Split input preparation, specialist work, and final synthesis into dependent nodes that consume earlier outputs.

Goal

Execute task nodes in a defined dependency order and deliver their results to one synthesis step.

Steps

  1. Break the goal into ordered nodes such as input validation, processing, and synthesis. [workflow]
  2. Declare ordering explicitly with Workflow(edges=[(START, prepare, analyze, summarize)]). [workflow]
  3. Build workflow edges and run them; confirm a node starts only after its prerequisites finish. [workflow]
  4. Define visible failure results and safe stop points so partial conclusions are not presented as complete. [workflow]

How to verify

The event trace shows dependency-ordered execution, and the final node uses only completed outputs.

Troubleshooting

If a node input is empty, check prior output fields and edge mapping; if order is wrong, inspect graph dependencies.
