Discernment nudge: check assumptions after actionable answers
Use a few focused questions when they can help verify facts or context.
Skills
If the answer contains advice, cost or timeline estimates, data interpretation, a plan draft, or facts the user may rely on, identify a real assumption or claim that could affect the outcome. Decide whether to append two or three brief questions tied to that material, helping the user check facts, examine reasoning, or supply missing context. Run this nudge at most once per conversation. Skip it when the user already asked for double-checking, citations, or review, or requested only format conversion, runnable code, a purely educational explanation, or creative writing. Do not append generic questions to a simple answer just to satisfy a ritual.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Before finalizing substantive advice, estimates, analysis, or drafts the user may act on, review for a useful nudge.
- Skip when the user already requested verification/citations or asks only for formatting, code, or other listed exceptions.
Permissions
- May append at most one set of two or three brief questions tied to specific assumptions or facts in the answer.
- Questions should check facts, reasoning, or missing context rather than become a generic questionnaire.
Limitations
This skill has explicit skip conditions and runs at most once per conversation; simple lookups, education, and creative writing usually need no extra questions.
