Define Goal: clarify the outcome
Turns a vague request into an actionable task by identifying the outcome, audience, constraints, and evidence of success.
Skills
Use this skill only when the user asks to set a goal, use the goal tool, or make a vague intention measurable. First decide whether a goal is needed, then state a verifiable outcome, the relevant system or artifact, scope boundaries, evidence, and a stop condition. Describe a successful state rather than a list of activities; use real metrics when the domain supports them. Once the objective is clear, create_goal can create it. Read the existing goal first to avoid duplication or replacing one that still matches. If the user asked for implementation, do the implementation directly. This skill defines and creates goals; it does not manage long-running task state, durable snapshots, decision logs, or resume files.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- The user wants to define a goal or use the goal tool; ordinary implementation requests should be handled directly
Permissions
- May call create_goal when the user explicitly asks to set a goal; inspect the existing goal first to avoid duplication or replacing a matching goal. This skill does not manage long-running task state.
Limitations
Covers goal definition and goal-tool creation, not durable snapshots, decision logs, or execution archives.
