Writing plans: turn requirements into checkable tasks
Write a multi-step implementation plan with exact files, interfaces, and tests.
Skills
When requirements span multiple steps, map the files to create or modify and state each responsibility. Write the plan for an engineer who has not seen the codebase: include exact paths, interfaces, and acceptance tests, and split work into small independently testable tasks. Capture global constraints from the specification and attach tests to likely high-risk inputs. The source defaults to `docs/superpowers/plans/YYYY-MM-DD-<feature>.md`, but follow the user’s or repository’s chosen location. Its workflow also recommends TDD and frequent commits; actual execution remains subject to the project and user’s Git authorization boundaries.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Use when a specification exists and implementation spans multiple steps.
Permissions
- Writes a plan file at the selected destination and can describe file, test, and Git actions.
Limitations
The default path is a repository convention, not universal; do not commit without authorization.
