Multi-agent task decomposition and dependency planning
Break complex work into tasks with acceptance criteria, dependency graphs, and workload checks.
Skills
Decompose by layer, component, concern, or file ownership. Give each task an objective, owned files, interface contract, acceptance criteria, and out-of-scope list. Add blockedBy/blocks only for real dependencies, check the graph for cycles and a critical path, then use TaskList and TaskUpdate to rebalance overloaded or idle teammates and notify them.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- Requires a multi-agent task interface such as TaskList/TaskUpdate and clear file ownership.
Permissions
- May create/update tasks and dependencies or reassign work; a messaging tool can notify teammates.
Limitations
A plan does not authorize editing teammates’ files or unapproved messages/reassignments; avoid cosmetic dependencies.
