Set Up a Temporal Cloud Workflow
Install the unified CLI, create a Cloud namespace and API key, then run a sample worker and workflow.
Skills
Use only for an explicit request to set up Temporal Cloud; this performs real cloud operations rather than teaching the local dev-server path. Confirm SDK language and region, install the Temporal CLI/cloud commands, sign in, create a namespace and API key, write client TOML, and connect a worker. Use the `regions` check for real network reachability; `whoami` only proves a cached credential exists. Start the sample workflow and report created resources and cost implications.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- An explicit Temporal Cloud setup request, shell and outbound network, SDK/region choice, and a Temporal Cloud account.
Permissions
- Can install a CLI, create a namespace/API key, write TOML, and run remote workers/workflows; these alter a cloud account and may incur cost. Perform only requested creations and never store keys in the repository.
Limitations
The source marks this skill for manual invocation; `*.tmprl.cloud` must be reachable. Use a different skill for local dev-server learning.
