Set Up Zoom Webhooks
Receive Zoom events over HTTPS, verify signatures, and implement idempotency and replay protection.
Skills
Use when Zoom must deliver events to an application over HTTP. List event types/resource scope, create an HTTPS endpoint, implement Zoom endpoint/challenge and signature verification, and persist event IDs, timestamps, and delivery metadata. Handle retries idempotently and meet response deadlines. Test replay and invalid signatures; require explicit event scope for production subscriptions and never send unverified requests into business writes.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- A public HTTPS server and Zoom Developer app able to subscribe to selected events, with a verification secret.
Permissions
- May receive meeting, account, or customer data; verify signatures, minimize payloads, and follow retention policy. Do not create/change production subscriptions without approval.
Limitations
Webhooks are retried deliveries; handlers must be idempotent. Consider WebSockets for persistent low-latency streams.
