Azure AI services: route to a bounded, inspected operation
Identify AI Search, Speech, OpenAI, or Document Intelligence and inspect scope first.
Skills
Map the request to AI Search, Speech, Azure OpenAI, or Document Intelligence, then confirm the resource/index and whether data is sensitive. With Azure MCP enabled, inspect Search indexes using `search_index_list` and `search_index_get` before `search_query`; use `speech_transcribe` or `speech_synthesize` only after confirming language and input/output. Without MCP, provide the relevant SDK/CLI guidance and do not claim a connection exists. Explain data transfer and possible charges before calls. Index creation, file upload, and service configuration changes require separate authorization.
Permissions
Prerequisites
- For choosing or querying Azure AI Search, Speech, OpenAI, or Document Intelligence.
- Prefer enabled Azure MCP tools; confirm the target service/resource and possible cost before actions.
Permissions
- May read index/service metadata, query indexes, transcribe audio, or synthesize speech; service calls may incur metered charges.
- Azure MCP operations use the configured identity and service RBAC.
Limitations
For Search, list indexes and inspect schema before querying. For Speech, confirm file and language. Index creation/writes are outside the default read-only flow.
