Notion Knowledge Capture: structure and link notes

Turn a conversation or decision into a structured Notion page connected to existing knowledge.

Skills

Start by classifying the material as a decision, how-to, FAQ, wiki entry, learning note, or documentation, then confirm its audience and destination database. Consult the skill’s reference templates for required properties. Search and fetch existing Notion pages first to avoid duplicates and add useful links. Structure the page with context, summary, steps or rationale, source links, and tags; decisions should include alternatives and outcomes. Create with the correct data_source_id and schema properties, or fetch before using notion-update-page. Add hub relations/backlinks and maintain owner or status as the source changes. Creating or updating pages writes to the external workspace, so do it only when the user asked for capture and the target is clear. Installing the remote MCP or logging in changes local connection setup and should follow an explicit setup request.

Limitations

Requires a known destination database and its required properties; ask the user when multiple databases fit. Verify facts, source links, tags, and relations before writing.
