Look up customer/order details and draft a reply with read-only tools

Use explicit client-side tools for synthetic customer/order lookups and draft a reply without cancelling or changing anything.

Goal

Provide an evidence-backed customer-service draft for an employee to review and send.

Implement only synthetic-data get_customer_info and get_order_details read functions in a test environment. [customer]
Expose names/descriptions/schemas and handle tool_use by returning a matching tool_result, following the cookbook loop. [customer]
Draft a reply with each order fact tied to a tool result; send only through a separate system after employee approval. [customer]

Synthetic records match tool results; missing data is reported as unverified, and no write tool is exposed.

Pair multi-turn results by tool_use_id; reject unknown functions and return no data outside the customer record.

Use synthetic customer data only; connect no order, refund, cancellation, or personal-data system.

The cookbook also demonstrates cancel_order; this workflow excludes it and real customer systems. Model output still needs employee review.
